In the landlocked
north of SOUTH AFRICA one can find
the province named for the legendary
LIMPOPO river. Made famous by the
likes of RUDYARD KIPLING and THOMAS
BAINES. An unspoilt, vast tract of
land, characterised by the
contrasting landscapes of expansive,
beautiful bushveld and the majestic
beginnings of the mighty DRAKENSBERG
MOUNTAINS.
Home to the
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, with it’s
abundance of Big Game and the
iconic, fabled and mighty BAOBAB
tree. It’s rich and diverse Cultural
Heritage stretches back over a 1000
years. Particularly at the WORLD
HERITAGE SITE of MAPUNGUBWE. This is
where the first glass beads were
ever cast in Africa. Intricate Gold
Jewellery was fashioned here, at
this, one of the original recognised
trading posts in Southern Africa,
for markets as far a field as PERSIA,
INDIA and CHINA.
Limpopo Province
also proudly claims one of the
largest deposits of Platinum and
Platinum- Group Metals ever
discovered. - More specifically
PALLADIUM. JENNI COLLECTIONS is
based in POLOKWANE, the capital of
LIMPOPO PROVINCE, on the doorstep of
this historical site.
Following in the
footsteps of ancient artisans,
traders, and bringing with us the
influence of the European Explorers,
we are creating FINE JEWELLERY,
using a confluence of European
Technology, and African Design. |

DESIGNING exquisite FINE
JEWELLERY by combining PALLADIUM refined
from the local raw AFRICAN ORE with the
finest SWAROVSKI® CRYSTAL imported from
Austria. Each element complimenting the
other to satisfy the quality criteria
demanded by Jewellers and Fashion Houses.
Our story is the first
step towards encouraging and inspiring
various entities, both public and private
sector based, to support the upliftment of
the traditionally less wealthy, but
artistically talented rural LIMPOPO WOMEN.
By developing a product with a potential for
export, that is local in conception but
international in appeal. Moving away from
solely Primary Exports, to manufacturing
finished articles of sufficient quality to
differentiate from traditionally ‘local
craft’ type product.
By
following an ethos of FAIR PRACTICE it is
our stated intent to foster this industry’s
potential, for it to become a significant
player in both our local economy, whilst
garnering the recognition in the
international JEWELLERY MARKET as a whole.
Individually HAND MADE jewellery,
incorporating Sterling Silver, 9ct and 18ct
Gold and more recently ‘PURE PALLADIUM’ with
SWAROVSKI® crystal, our techniques and
designs have brought with them several
awards and accolades, not least of which is
accreditation by SWAROVSKI® to use their
‘CRYSTALLIZED™’ logo. One of only a handful
so endorsed here in AFRICA.
Our Jewellery comes with
a story, one that dates back many years. And
one with a very Bright Future.
